New Moon Spoilers, Dont Read if u Dont wanna know

So Life & Style reveals a few spoilers for the upcoming and intensely anticipated New Moon, and it seems there will be some vast differences between the book and the film.

Apparently, Bella takes a more daredevil approach in the film, pushing fate in order to make Edward appear to her.

Filmmakers couldn't resist Robert Pattinson's draw, and instead of coming to Bell as a disembodied voice, he appears like an apparition…or like Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars. To which Pattinson expresses some concern, saying, "I really wanted it to be a complete absence. It’s easier to give it more power at the end if I’m completely absent."

There's also an action-packed scene wherein Laurent fights back against the werewolves who destroy him in the book.

Additionally, in the book Edward says he will turn Bella into a vampire only if they marry. In the movie, however, he offers a different ultimatum.

director of Eclipse

David Slade, director of 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy, will be directing the upcoming Eclipse, which is due out in June 2010.
Slade was handpicked to direct the latest film in the vampire franchise because of his ability to "create complex, visually arresting worlds" and even Twilight author Stephenie Meyer is pleased with the selection!

"I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing Eclipse," expressed Meyer. "He's a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we've been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight saga, and I'm so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition."

First pix of the new Wolf Pack, possible new Sam

It seems Taylor Launter and Chris Weitz are back up in Vancouver and lunching with "maybe" wolf pack members!

Link to more pix and story

What do you think?

I can't tell if one of them's Bronson and don't know if the kid in the glasses is a "Seth" potential but - unless the big guy in the hat is crew - I'm guessing that's "Sam" :(

Casting New Wolf Pack?????

Solomon Trimble (Sam Uley) was a dedicated force behind the Twilight movie: helping Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) get into character through Native American roots; penning amazing poetry, inspired by his character's love, Emily; and demonstrating humility, wisdom and strength of character.

If Twilight saga fans can help keep Taylor, then we can get Solomon and Krys their deserved chance in New Moon's wolf pack too!

Leah might not be in New Moon movie

When scribe Melissa Rosenberg was asked if Vanessa Hudgens has indeed auditioned for the role of Leah, she answered:

"…if Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em. "

Yup, Leah is not going to be in the movie version of New Moon.

It's Official! Taylor Lautner To Return as Jacob in New Moon

The search for the new Jacob is over.

They're sticking with the old dude!

Twilight author Stephanie Meyer just confirmed the casting news on her official website.

Stephanie posted the following note from New Moon director Chris Weitz :

"I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

very best

Chris Weitz"

Meyer herself had the following to say:

"I'd just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I'm truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he's going to bring to Jacob's character this year.

WHO WILL BE JACOB

Rumors keep circulating as to who will play the role of Jacob, the primary love interest, in the upcoming Twilight sequel.

It seems the choice was down to Twilight's Taylor Lautner, who was thought to look too young and not manly enough for the role, or the hunkier Michael Copon.

But, according to Entertainment Weekly, it seems Taylor might be able to reprise his role in the upcoming flick, New Moon.

Summit Entertainment is expected to make an announce as early as this week as to which actor they've chosen.

Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of both Twilight films, says "Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon. He's a foot taller and huge – and he's supposed to look 25. It's really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role. Everyone would love to keep him. We all think he's the loveliest person ever."

Taylor will be turning 17 next month, though he says he's been exercising and has already put on 19lbs, with another 10 more to add.

And, according to online polls, viewers chose to have Lautner keep his role.

The sequel will be released this year on November 20th.
